14k yellow gold antique Edwardian opal and freshwater seed pearl brooch, circa 1910

This sweet opal brooch is one of my favourite being an October gal. A quadrafoil design with scroll and foliage details and accented with freshwater seed pearls.
It can be converted to wear as a pendant. The opal is a crystal opal, translucent with green and blue play of colour, there is a small drying crack that does not break the surface. The pin weighs 2.7 grams.
