Kim Kool - Artist/Encaustic Wax

Encaustic, meaning “to burn in or fuse”, is an ancient painting medium first practiced by Greek artists as far back as the 5th century B.C. The oldest known pigment binder, encaustic combines molten beeswax with dry pigment and tree resin.
Artist Kim Kool's work is know by many and humbly states that she is not an "artist". I have to disagree, as I find her art intriguing and inspiring. In fact there are many people who share my sentiment and have met Kim during one of the workshops she has put on at The Georgian Artisan Shop.
Take a close look at our collection of her work which ultimately speaks for itself!
