14k white gold shell cameo pin pendant
Shell cameo jewellery remained highly fashionable into the Art Deco period, when traditional carved portraits were often paired with more intricate white gold settings and refined filigree work. Cameos depicting classical female profiles reflected a continued appreciation for Greco-Roman influence in jewellery design, while the addition of diamonds brought a subtle elegance characteristic of the 1920s and 1930s.
This circa 1930 14k white gold shell cameo pin pendant features a carved lady’s profile accented with a small full cut diamond necklace measuring approximately 0.01 carats. The detailed filigree frame with leaf motifs and fold-down pendant loop reflects the versatility and craftsmanship associated with fine jewellery of the era. Measuring approximately 3.5 x 3 cm and weighing 8.7 grams, the piece balances delicate carving with the refined metalwork popular during the early 20th century.
