Antique Georgian 14K Yellow Gold Garnet Girandole Pendant & Brooch | Circa 1800–1850

An exceptional example of early 19th-century Georgian jewellery, this 14 karat yellow gold girandole pendant features seven foil-backed almandine garnets arranged in the dramatic drop design characteristic of the period. The rich garnets are complemented by a beautiful mixture of antique-cut diamonds and colourless sapphires, creating the distinctive sparkle and depth associated with Georgian jewellery.

The foil-backed garnets reflect the period's traditional gemstone-setting techniques, designed to enhance their rich colour in candlelight. The piece has later been fitted with a pin and catch, likely added after 1914, allowing it to be worn as either a pendant or brooch.
