Antique Victorian Chatelaine Spectacle Case
This antique Victorian chatelaine spectacle case is a beautiful and unusual 19th-century accessory, originally designed to hold eyeglasses while hanging from a woman’s chatelaine belt clip. Typically made in silver or silver plate with a velvet-lined interior, these cases combined function with elegant period design.
Victorian chatelaine cases are highly collectible for their ornate craftsmanship, often featuring detailed piercework, floral motifs, and scrolling decoration. Once used as part of a lady’s everyday accessories, they are now sought after by collectors of antique silver, Victorian jewellery accessories, and rare decorative objects.
A wonderful addition to any antique collection, this Victorian spectacle case offers both historic charm and timeless display appeal.
